Meet The Team
As the founder of QDOS, Damian has over 25 years of experience in the industry, with the task of increasing and constantly improving the products and services to offer support and advice to our ever-growing list of loyal customers.
Damian joined the industry in 1996 as a trainee CAD Operator at Shorrock Fire, continuing his development through system design to Operations Manager based in Leeds, to finally starting QDOS in 2009. Damian has extensive knowledge of British Standards for fire alarm systems and provides a friendly, professional attitude to all clients on all jobs.
Following a 15 year career in law with Walker Morris LLP, Gavin joined QDOS in 2014. Gavin’s appointment allowed the company to continue significant growth within the industry. He’s overseen the company growth sevenfold in the last six years offering the industry-leading products and services QDOS has become renowned for.
As the company’s Operations Director, Gavin is the account manager for all our valuable customers and the face you’ll see at industry exhibitions nationwide.
Joining the team in September 2020, Mark brings over 20 years of experience within the fire industry. A former Initial Fire employee, Mark entered the industry in 1998 and has become a well-respected fire designer and General Manager.
Tasked with the day-to-day management of all aspects of QDOS, Mark is responsible for all staff development and leading the fire system design consultancy services.
Associate Fire Systems Designer
A highly experienced and knowledgeable fire system professional, David completes and advises on fire system designs ensuring compliance with BS 5839-1.
David is very well respected in the industry, known by many fire professionals and manufacturers for both his extensive knowledge and friendly personality.
Ready to handle any challenge that comes his way, Joe manages the day-to-day projects sent through to QDOS.
Originally an IT Assistant/Trainee CAD Operator, Joe quickly developed and became Project Manager in 2020. From the design of your Escape Plans to the compliance of all projects, Joe approaches his tasks with a professional approach and self-assured attitude.
CAD Team Manager
A highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail, Craig manages the CAD team. Whether it be schedule supervising or communicating with our customers, Craig keeps QDOS consistent on quality and quick turnaround times.
Once a Trainee CAD Operator Apprentice, Craig joined QDOS in 2014 and ever since has brought consistent professionalism to his work. He takes charge of specialty jobs, as well as larger projects.
CAD Team Leader/Fire System Designer
Very well organised with crucial attention to detail, Ben has become a specialist on the larger projects at QDOS. No matter how big the job, Ben delivers each design to the utmost quality with the knowledge of British Standards in mind.
Eager to further develop his fire safety career, Ben has recently completed his AO Level 3, ready to help grow our BAFE accredited fire design consultancy service.
Another member with diligence to his work, Lewis supports the team with all day-to-day tasks to keep our service levels high.
Starting as a CAD Operator Apprentice in 2017, Lewis soon became adapted to the work ethic of QDOS, furthering the quality and compliance of our work. More recently, Lewis assists in the training for our trainees.
