Fire Escape Plans
What is an Escape Plan?
An Escape Plan is a plan displayed for the occupants of a facility with the elements for escape shown, and which shows the information required for the evacuation, rescue or first intervention.
Where should they be located?
The plans are intended to be displayed as signs in public areas and workplaces. They should be conspicuous in their environment, located and permanently fixed at strategic points of the escape route. This could be on every floor at primary entry points, near the lifts and stairs or in the case of hotels – in every room.
General Escape Plans
Clearly identifying the evacuation route for the given point of the user. Fire safety symbols used in accordance with ISO 7010 and all colours in accordance with BS ISO 23601:2009.
All escape plans include fire and emergency safety notices which are adapted to the bespoke requirements of your premises.
All our Escape Plans are available in 2D and 3D print.
Schools and Secure Buildings
These escape plans can include enhanced information relating to building security or staged evacuation procedures.
Critical information such as doors that may be secured during a lockdown procedure is vital should an evacuation subsequently need to take place.
An escape plan in every room of a hotel is vital to ensure guests are aware of the quickest and safest evacuation route in case of emergency. Usually displayed on the back of the bedroom door, these can also include further safety and security information for each individual hotel.
We offer a special acrylic finish complete with a hidden mounting hook, specifically designed for a high-quality finish when mounting the escape plan onto a bedroom door. Importantly, the hook can be secured without the need for drilling or screwing into the fire door.
